US universities prioritize internationalization; the number of international scholarships to study in the US has been growing.

While, some are funded by the US government, other are funded by private organizations and some funded by specific institutions. Fulbright Foreign Student Program and Hubert Humphrey Fellowship Program are scholarships for graduate and non-degree students provided by the US government.

Abbey Road Summer Scholarships, The Next Gen Scholarship Fund, Tortuga Backpacks Study Abroad Scholarship and David P. Shapiro Annual Leukaemia Scholarships are some of the non-government scholarships. East-West Center Scholarships and Fellowships is a special program for Asia Pacific region and Japan-United States Friendship Commission for Japanese students.
